Hello and welcome to Basic Hunting Tips. I will be adding some basic tips on here for those who would like to go hunting. This is pretty basic for those who would like some tips to get started. Nothing on here is going to be advanced. This is just the basics. So let's get started!

Step 1: Always check with your state regulations before trying to go out and shoot something. There is a season for each animal that you hunt and many animals need tags except for some of the small game. But, check with your local wild life regulations before making any purchases for equipment or tags.

Step 2: No poaching. This means hunting illegally without a tag. obtaining a tag is very important and essential to hunting. Poaching is a serious crime and isn't worth being locked behind bars for. If you think you are sneaky, guess again. The government monitors the population of animals and will know if some have gone missing. So, be on the safe side and get your tags!

Step 3: make sure you're wearing essential protection wear for different environments. Snakeproof boots will save your life! If the weather is bad with debris, protective eye glasses can protect your eyes. Any other necessary equip needed, you should bring. You don't need to dress up as an ironed knight, just bring the essentials. If you're taking too many items at once, it can be very heavy and become a burden. Only take with you, what you need. Too much weight can be very tiring and you might not be able to carry it all back!

Step 4: Check weather conditions. If you sense extreme weather conditions, such as flash floods with rising waters and lightening, then stay at home or at a safe shelter until the storm is gone. You can easily be swept away even if the water doesn't look too deep. Lightening can strike you, or use the water as a conductor to reach you, which can lead to instant death if you're not careful. So, avoid bad weather at all costs. Always check your national weather radar and check for the forecasts weekly weather service. Because, if you camping and you're out there for a couple days and get stuck in bad weather, it can end up pretty badly. If by any chance you are already out in a location and an unexpected storm happens while you're already out, then move far away from any tall trees and try and find shelter from the storm. Be careful of any caves that are inhabited by cougars or bears, or any other wildlife that might be living in there. Best thing to do is head back to your vehicle and stay inside.

Step 5: Stay hydrated! The most common mistake made by people, is not staying hydrated. Another misunderstanding is people think they wont get dehydrated in the winter time. Wrong! Winter can be just as bad, especially if you're wearing thick clothing that can cause you to sweat. You can still become very dehydrated in the winter because your body is moving around using energy.

Step 6: Bring a map, compass, or GPS while you're you're out. You can easily get lost, especially when travelling away from your vehicle. If you have driven far out into the wild, you can even be lost even if you have your truck with you. Having a navigation system can help prevent you from getting lost and help you to find your way back home.

Step 7: Always bring a companion! Never travel alone! If something happened to you and you didn't have anyone there with you, your life can easily be in danger. Try to bring an experienced hunter with you. It's always best to go in groups. If there is an emergency situation, the other person would be able to help you. Even if you think you're a pro, going alone could turn out really bad! If you hurt your self and became immobile, your chance of survival could be very slim at best! Also, predators are more afraid of numbers. Having multiple people around, the predators would feel more Intimidated.

Step 8: Always make sure you can contact any kind of Emergency facility, like a local law enforcement or ambulance. That can save your life! If you have absolutely no signal because of range, then just make sure you can reach a location that has signal (which is another good reason for bringing along another person).

So far, these are the tips. These are just basic tips. I'll try to update them in the future. For now, use this as a guide before getting into advanced tips. This is more important than deciding which hunting weapon looks best on you.
